How we choose the models behind each tool
Every tool routes your request across a pool of leading AI models and picks a strong available one for the task, rather than locking you to a single provider. We choose models on real output quality, reliability, and speed for that specific job, a coding tool leans on models that are good at code, a summarizer on models with long context. The exact model used is shown after every response, so nothing is hidden. See the models page for how routing works.
How we tune and test the tools
Each tool has its own instructions written for its job, and we tune them from real use, checking that a caption tool returns captions, that a resume tool never invents experience you did not give it, that a citation tool formats your sources rather than making up references. When we find a tool giving a weak or misleading result, we fix its instructions and re-check. Tools are drafts you should review, not final authorities.
Our honesty rules
We build the tools to avoid the most harmful AI failure, confidently stating things that are not true. Tools that could invent facts about a real person, product, or business (resumes, cover letters, recommendation and resignation letters, product descriptions, grant and business documents) are instructed to use only what you provide and to mark missing details with placeholders rather than fabricating them. AI can still make mistakes, so we tell you to check anything important.
How we handle your data
The site is private by default: no account, no tracking, no profiles, and your conversations are not stored after your session or used to train models. To produce a result, your request is processed by a third-party AI provider under their own terms, which is why we ask you not to enter sensitive personal information. The guides on our blog are written to be genuinely useful rather than to chase clicks, what free AI tools are good at, where they fall short, and how to get better results.
