Strong passwords, generated locally

Pick length and character options and generate cryptographically strong passwords, locally in your browser, never sent anywhere.

What is Password Generator?

Password Generator is a free AI productivity tool that generates cryptographically strong random passwords locally in your browser, so they are never transmitted anywhere. It runs on a pool of leading AI models, automatically selecting the best one for your specific request, and delivers accurate summaries, translations, action items, and structured knowledge from documents and audio in seconds. No account or subscription is required. Built for knowledge workers, students, and managers who process large volumes of information daily, it is private by default: nothing is stored after your session ends.

  • Open and use it — no account required for any text tool
  • Documents route automatically to a model suited to the task
  • Files and text are processed for your result, then cleared with the session

For the best results: Use the longest password each site allows — length beats complexity. Generate a fresh one per account and store them in a password manager, never reuse one.

Strength: Excellent (~123 bits of entropy)

Generated locally with your browser's cryptographic random source — never sent to any server, not even ours. Store it in a password manager, not a note.

Use cases

What people use it for

01

Replace a reused password properly after a breach notification email lands in your inbox.

02

Generate a fresh, strong Wi-Fi password when you move house or offboard a flatmate.

03

Create one-off strong logins while setting up accounts for a parent who reuses their pet's name.

How it works

  1. 1Paste the text, upload the file, or describe the task.
  2. 2The best-suited model extracts, transforms, or organises it.
  3. 3Copy the structured result into wherever the work happens.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does the password ever get sent to your servers?

It never leaves your machine. Generation happens inside your browser using its built-in cryptographic random number generator, with no upload, logging or storage anywhere — not even on this site's servers. Once the page has loaded you could switch your connection off and it would keep working, which is exactly the property you want in a password tool.

Why isn't this an AI tool like the rest of the site?

Because AI is the wrong instrument for passwords. A language model produces plausible, pattern-rich text — the opposite of secure randomness — and anything typed into or produced by an AI travels to a server for processing. A password needs to come from a cryptographic random source and be seen by nobody. So this tool deliberately skips AI and generates locally instead.

What actually makes a generated password strong?

Length, above everything. Each extra character multiplies the number of guesses an attacker must make, so a long password of plain letters beats a short one bristling with symbols. Use the longest length the account will accept, include mixed character types when the site allows them, and never trade length away just to make a password easier to type.

If I lose it, can I regenerate the same password?

No — every click produces fresh output from cryptographic randomness, and nothing is remembered, so an identical password can't be reproduced and no record of it exists anywhere. Copy it straight into a password manager before leaving the page. That un-repeatability isn't a flaw; a generator that could replay its output would be one an attacker could replay too.

A site rejected the generated password — what now?

Some sites ban specific symbols or cap password length, usually a sign of dated security practice you can't change. Adjust the character options to drop symbols, or shorten the length, and generate again — a long letters-and-digits password is still strong. Keep the stricter settings for everywhere else; one fussy site shouldn't lower your standards across the board.

What are the usage limits?

Text-based productivity tools are unmetered during the current free launch phase; audio-based ones share the audio fair-use limits since transcription costs real compute. Normal daily use never notices either. Paid plans with higher limits and priority model access are coming soon.
